I have the 4E PH due to a fortunate turn of circumstance. I am working up my PC (a 5th level cleric) in moments of spare time when I can skim another section of the rulebooks. I'm planning to go heavy on the healing route and make the character human.
Any preferences or things to avoid from the other players?
I have not figured out how magic items work yet, so I may do that on the plane to Indy. I must say, the terminology so far is very precise and understandable. It's just a matter of choosing which powers. Wish I could get more (going human at least gets me one more). Feats are next. Which leads to a question.
Which gods are we using? The 4E ones? Is the group going to be slanted toward aligned (good or evil or lawful or chaotic) or unaligned?
If I can I'll post a draft here later in the week. |

I just went stock 4E books...I didn't think it made too much difference for a playtest, and if it did, Wolfgang could adjust at the table.
My rogue is also human...

I think the warlock is gonna be a dwarf.
I keep imagining the Balrog arriving in Moria. Amidst the chaos, a solitary dwarf asks the demon, "Need a hand?" |

I love this party already.
And please just use the stock pantheon unless you have a particular god in mind. It's a convention game, which means all sorts of stuff is fine, as long as it makes your character more entertaining for that one game. _________________ Wolfgang Baur

| I would be much obliged if one of you folks with more 4E savvy looked over my character before we started playing on Thursday. |
