Has anyone else had any problems with the last login time not being tracked? My last current login shows as 19 Feb, even though I've been in and out yesterday and today.

I've had the same problem since the boards moved hosting. When I log back in it doesn't remember which posts I've read. Same trouble with IE and Chrome.

Yeah, I've also seen that issue across different computers I use- logging on to a new system loses the "read" information, so things from the last few days come across as new. However, it's not consistent- I wonder if there's a time mismatch somewhere server-side.

That was a good thought. I have updated the time settings for the forum to reflect the correct system time. We'll see if that helps. I'd also suggest clearing your cookies, restarting your browser and logging back in to make sure that you don't have any orphaned cookies remaining from the old system.

Thanks all; glad and sorry it's not just me.

Off to troubleshoot!

Restarting my browser and logging back in did the trick for me.

Thank goodness!

ARGH!!!!!!!

Every single thread has again been flagged as "unread", going back to Feb 22.

I. HATE. THIS. BUG!

To attempt to add some information: This is from the same PC where I declared "all good" in my last post. It's not at all clear why everything would revert to "unread" on the same PC.

Sad

What does the main Forum Index page show as your last login date? Mine's stuck on 19 Feb, which seems to be determining what's not being read.

Mine shows "You last visited on 21 Feb 2011 11:39"

Very, very annoying.

Doesn't seem to be cookie related; I've cleared my cookies and tried on multiple operating systems, IP addresses, and browsers. Still shows my last login at Feb 21.

I also have a strange issue where sometimes when I try to log in to the forums, I'll get redirected to the store, and no way to enter the forums until I completely exit the browser.

If I were admin, my next attempt would probably be to repair permissions on the mysql table associated with phpbb. ^_^

That is very helpful, thank you! Passed along to the site expert.

Also, when you say are redirected from forum to the store, does the Forum link in the blue box not work?

The store redirect thing seems to happen very intermittently, trying to figure it out.

Yes. When I log in from the forum itself, I'm redirected to the store. When I try to use the forum link from the site header or the forum link from the store sidebar, I get directed to the forum, but I'm not logged in, and the cycle begins anew. ^_^

Just a bit more testing since then- that may be related to being logged in at multiple places simultaneously. I had a session open in IE while I was testing this out, and when I logged out of that session I was able to log back in on Firefox.

I'm really sorry that this is such a big problem, but I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Xellos,

I have a workaround for this issue:
1) When you are redirected to the store, click Log Off at the top left.
2) Go back to the forums and login again. You should remain on a forum page and be logged in.

Another odd thing: logged out of the forum, got redirected to the store logout, and still logged into the forum. ^_^;
