| I just wanted to say i really like the art on that book. Is that part of the midgard project? Or is that it or what? Just curious. Since I am unsure if this is totally stand alone all new stuff or what. |

The Northlands book covers the northern sections of Midgard, and is independent of the campaign setting project. It's somewhat like Sunken Empires, with over 100 pages and a heavy lean toward crunch.
It was a patronage project led by Dan Voyce, who also did excellent work on Halls of the Mountain King. _________________ Wolfgang Baur

| Out of curiosity, why the name change from Frozen Emipres to Northlands? |

Mostly because Frozen Empires was yet another Empire/imperial title, and Open Design has already done that 3 times.
Just wanted a change. _________________ Wolfgang Baur

Ladies and gentlemen, valkyries and thanes... The long wait is over! Our (now slightly renamed) project is now complete!
We have culture and psychology guides to really get into the head of vikings, cossacks, and other northerners - and let players indulge in feuds, feasts, duels, and wergild. There's also traits and feats of the frozen north (including some great Achievement Feats); New race and class options (including for those in the Advanced Players Guide; I especially like the additions to Witches and Oracles); plus hazards, haunts, and other horrible things for GMs to inflict upon their unsuspecting PCs. And rounding it all off we have more new spells, monsters (both mythological and brand new), and magical loot than you could fill a raiding longship with!
For Golarion fans, this book would be the perfect compliment for games set in Ustalav, Irrisen, Brevoy, Numeria, or Varisia… plus our gazetteer covers the far polar reaches, both arctic tundra and lost tropical worlds beneath the northern lights. For Midgard, we’re giving you the full guided tour... From the North Pole and the lair of the cruel north wind himself to the bulwarks and granite fortresses of Krakova, the ravaged elven lands of Thorn, and the glowering citadels of the infamous “Reaver Dwarves" (with dozens of adventure sites you can drop anywhere on the map)
Sincere thanks to everyone who patronised and contributed. Long shall your glory be sung of in Valhalla!
Keep on rollin'

Congrats, Dan and all the Northland patrons!
The book is also available at the Paizo store, for those who want to discuss it there. Or heck, review it there. _________________ Wolfgang Baur

I've noticed a few print problems in what is otherwise an excellent book.
1) very large black box completely covers the right hand column of patrons on page 2.
2) on pages 35, 58, 85, & 97 there is an image of a wolf that covers text. I can't find this image in the pdf. |

Yep, those are flaws in the print version that did NOT appear in the print proof (which irritates me no end).
They were corrected in the PDF. _________________ Wolfgang Baur

Wouldn't the printer be on the hook to fix that? Or did the file get change between the proof print and the final print run? _________________ -Jesse Butler

If it wasn't in the proof, wouldn't that make it their responcibility to fix?
On the positive side, none of the graphics or maps took a turn for the worse in the translation to black and white... |

Yeah, but there were other things we changed when we got the proof, and I fear the we may have introduced the error between the first proof and the second. I'm trying to track it down, and I am certainly discussing it with the printer! _________________ Wolfgang Baur

Good luck with your hunt for errorly vermin.
And hey, it can be corrected in the second print run, after the first sells out spectacularly, right? |
