Cool I'm totally getting Hero Lab when it comes out for Mackintosh this Summer. It can quickly and accurately stat up a character and even add character levels to monsters! Do any of you have it already? And do you think it would be helpful for Open Design work?

James, I purchased this product, and I do like it a great deal. You create the character; it doesn't randomly generate things for you. I remember an online thing for 3.5 that used to generate them for you, and those are always good for playtests or one-shots.

Anyway, I'd recommend it. You can use it to build your OD NPCs, for sure.

Yep, great product. I can highly recommend it for both Pathfinder and 4e character creation. Handy for use in play as well.

I've had it for about a year and have gotten quite a lot of use out of it. I'd say it's a great product for a DM.

I just picked it up, and will transfer my licenses to Mac when that happens. It is absolutely essential for adventures I make for Cons, as I purchased the Bestiary I and II data, so I can quickly print out stat blocks.
