Well, it's run all week and I think I'm ready to say that the two candidates are Angels of Our Better Nature and Lost Lords of Arbonesse/Azlant.
Tales of Greater Zobeck gets a shot by default, and based on the enthusiasm of its patrons, I think it has a good chance as well.
I'll post much more detail on these in a week or two, and open the projects up for commission.
And the Kobold Bestiary.... I have plans for the Bestiary. But not until January. |
Woohoo.. it's been a long week but we made it!
Has there been any feedback from Paizo, or is it still "no news is good news?" |

No news is good news!
As soon as I hear from them one way or the other, I'll post about it. _________________ Wolfgang Baur

I just checked this thread while listening to "Hook" by Blues Traveller...
Your little dancing guy was rockin' out in time to the music.
I just about fell out of my chair laughing. |

| Wolfgang, I'd love it if you talked to Paizo and asked them if you can set it in Golarion! |

I still think it would be wiser to wait until the actual rules are finished. also, part of the reason I love Open Design is that its independent. Anything that ties a project to a specific setting (other than Zobeck of course) is a negative point for me. I'm always in favour of OGL over specific. I certainly wouldn't object to spending some wordcount on notes to adapt any OGL project to Golarion though.
It'll be interesting to see if the support for a Paizo project carries over into actual donations too.

Absolutely definitely flag-wavingly happy about this myself too. _________________ Recent Projects:

The discussions have already started. However, this is purely for the Golarion/Pathfinder Chronicles setting.
It would be madness to attempt to design for an RPG ruleset still in Beta. _________________ Wolfgang Baur

| I would say keep it OGL, even though I am an unrepentant Pathfinder fanboi. It is easy enough to rejigger the stats to bring them into Pathfinder, the whole point of backwards compatibility after all. As Wolfgang said, it would be madness to design for a system that will be in Beta testing until next summer. Also this would keep the 3.5 fans happy. |

Pah! Too convoluted. OD&D is the way to go. _________________ Recent Projects:

| I am up for any of these, but in the near future some steampunk/modern horror would rock. |

| So with Lords of Lost Arbonesse unavailable this round, I'll probably support the Angels one. I know it is probably too late to suggest different topics, but I'd love to see a Planar Adventure/supplement sometime. I loved planescape (and I know you can't use much from that) and there haven't been enough planar adventures for 3rd ed (or 4e for that matter.) Something like Beyond the Countless Doorways from Malhavoc Press, except just one plane and an adventure to go with it would be cool. |

| I'd rather a vote to either forget Paizo or wait for Paizo. As a would be patron, I'd rather the patrons decide, not Paizo. Then again, I wanted it Modern so I may not be objective. |

| These all sound like great projects. I take it there are other such projects that have already been completed? If so, are they available for purchase somewhere? |

The projects to date are:
Steam & Brass (completed 2006, unavailable)
Castle Shadowcrag (completed 2006, unavailable)
Empire of the Ghouls (completed 2007, unavailable)
Six Arabian Nights (available to patrons of Blood of the Gorgon)
Blood of the Gorgon (available to patrons of Tales of Zobeck or Wrath of the River King)
Tales of Zobeck (shipping soon, sign up here as a patron)
Wrath of the River King (4E, shipping December, sign up here)
Normally, Six Arabian Nights should be unavailable, but it had a lower number of patrons than Gorgon or Empire, so I've left it available for now. It could drop off again soon.
Blood of the Gorgon definitely WILL drop off when Tales of Zobeck ships. _________________ Wolfgang Baur
