I hadn't thought of it before, but I was perusing the forum here with the ad overhead for The Pirate King and I realized..."Does Drizzt basically follow Conan's footsteps?"

Both leave their homeland, both are raiders and outlaws, both are mercenaries, both have a disdain for society, and now... both are pirates.

Strange.
