Fair enough, and thank you for the reply. Your position doesn't anger me, as much as I disagree with it. Had you intentionally ignored me, that would have angered me.
As it is, again, thank you for the reply, and you have my respect, though not agreement.
I will walk away from this discussion as well at this point.
Troy, you won't hear from me again unless I find a highly secure method of reading but not stealing printed content over the web. If that is the case, I might just run it by you again with a PM.
Thanks to everyone for their thoughts as well. |

We're fine. Always were.
You're also a new kid on the block, and that makes you pretty important. There's always a turnaround in endeavors like this. Circumstances and interests change, and the pool of participants needs to be refreshed.
And I'm not always that great. There's one patron that really doesn't like 4E and he's vocal about it. That is his right.. but I've given him a hard time about defending his opinion so stridently that it leaves no room for others to feel differently than he does. We used to be kinda pals, but I one time I drove him so nuts that he doesn't speak to me any more. I feel kinda bad about that.
Anyway..
Wolfgang and Troy might not have wanted to relive this, but I think you did a good thing in bringing it up. Because this time it was out in the open, and not hidden away in the LiveJournal with limited access because the discussion happened during a particular project.
Maybe this time will be the last time. And relatively speaking, I've been an OD regular for over a year, and this was the first time I remember it really being wrestled with openly. I've never openly spoken Troy on this topic before. There are levels of understanding, and while I don't understand his perspective, I'm not a dummy, I get it on a certain level. That is the key to being able to talk about it and resolve it. Would not have happened if it weren't for you!
So maybe we don't get what we want, but maybe we get what we need. Closure.
Chin up! New project to argue about in first week of December! Whoohoo! |

That reminds me...
For all the hubbub about exclusivity and Steam & Brass, I've never found or heard of any OD projects circulating in the usual illicit circles. I think that demonstrates something good about the character of our community. |

I've never looked, but it makes me happy that you've noticed that. It truly does say something for our little community here. Kudos folks! |

I wish I could say that but I have found OD projects out there in pirate land. Everything after Shadowcrag has been posted. I wish this were not the case. |
