Hi, this question is for Wolfgang, but anyone else can feel free to answer.
I want to buy Wrath for both myself and for a friend. As the project is nearly done, I'm interested in getting access to the PDF and to buy two printed copies.
I'm willing to pay whatever is appropriate. Can I buy access once and then buy two printed copies, or is it more appropriate to buy access twice. If the latter, I'd buy buying on behalf of someone who I want to get this for as an xmas present.
(As you can tell, I'm not clear on the copywright/policies involved in patronship--does it grant me access to print as many copies as I want, as many as I want for myself, or only one?)
I'm trying to hammer out the logistics before the project closes, so please, your answers will be much appreciated. |

I am certain this can be done. I recall the same question came up when Blood of the Gorgon was nearly finished, and the answer was "Yes, you can buy extra print copies as gifts for friends." You may not be able to get 25 extra copies to sell on some convention Back Market, but one or two extra copies as presents? Sure.
Put it this was.. I plan to do so wth Tales... So if the answer is something other than yes, I'm going to be shocked. |

Watcher is correct. You should pick up one patronage for yourself, and just give the extra print copy to your friend.
Patrons have access to a reasonable number of copies of the project they support, as gifts.
If you start retailing print copies anywhere, ever, and I find out about it, well.... Let's just say that I'd be extremely upset, and I'd certainly never work with that patron again. _________________ Wolfgang Baur

And the Chieftain would send his loyal kobold minions to eat the perpetrator's face. |

But really, it's meant to be something cool for you and your gaming group.
I'm 99% confident that patrons are not the type to plunder Lulu for some eBay scam or whatever.
And Aberzanzorax, thank you for even asking. Patron projects are different enough from normal cash-and-carry releases that I want to keep them special. _________________ Wolfgang Baur

Quite welcome. You can rest assured, I'll be only printing one extra copy (and it is for someone who will REALLY appreciate it). I hardly expect it will ever be put on ebay or even given away. (and I'd never give anyone the PDF).

I myself am buying an extra copy for Derrick Thomas, who did some of the interior art.
Derrick did them as a favor to me, because I was struggling with my portion of the project. He ended up reaching a private agreement with Wolfgang, but I'm going to honor my original promise to him and get him a print copy of the Project. So he'd like a copy as one of my gaming group, but its nice to have a copy as a contributing artist too. |
