| Just arrived in the inbox and popped open on my screen at work (shh!) and they look beautiful! Shouldn't really delve into them till this weekend, but well... hmm maybe just a bit more of a peek. |

With work and remodeling our bathroom this weekend, I haven't had as much time as I would like to browse my copy of Tales of Zobek. I really like what I have seen so far in my limitied browsing! Thanks again Mr. Baur and contributors!
I did have one quick question: The gearforged PC race has no level adjustment? I just want to make sure I'm reading that right. |

Yep, looks that way to me.
Interesting design choice. I think I'm okay with it? Immunity to sleep, meh. Immunity to poison? Okay, that's a biggie, but it still doesn't come up that often. It's a pretty big list of benefits overall, however you don't have a Con score. So, you don't get bonus hit points at all. You don't get a bump to your Fort save and there are plenty of spells that affect objects, like Fireball. That, over time, could represent a lot of damage. Plus you don't get healing. Okay, you get minimal healing. (I think that could benefit from a ruling on heal separately, otherwise you get all your hit points -4 back. The gearforged spend a lot of time in the desperate area, then suddenly they're fine?) No stat bumps, no other special abilities, only a +2 to two related skills, and you have to do self-maintenance nightly. Guess I'd have to try one in a game. |

You also don't get any bonuses to stats, which is something of a drawback in itself.
I thought having no constitution score made you immune to all things fort save. Is this not true? |

Usually it makes you immune to all fort saves except for those that would affect objects.
Polymorph any object and disintegrate would still work. |

Just have two seconds (broken computer - writing this from work)
But I have to say it just seems very easy to integrate Zobeck into quite a few settings...
I am using Zobeck instead of Nartok, Darkon in Ravenloft (I still call it Nartok btw). And I don't think I'll have that many problems converting a few things.
Zobeck has its own identity but I can import it. That is a major strength of this product!
Anybody else doing this? Or are you using it as is?

| I'm running a planescape game, so I just plugged it in as is. I don't know if my players will go there yet, but I've already made a villain from Zobeck who uses the clockwork spells and has 4 clockwork guards and a clockwork choker to protect himself. Should be fun, although with my disrupted December schedule they may not get to it until January. |
