Ice Maiden, Valkyrie, and Thursir were Jonathan McAnulty (Wicht). This is per the Northlands boards. I'm not sure on the others.

I'm fairly certain Brandon Hodge wrote the Isonade and Bone Crab, but not 100% sure. Goblin Shark and Wharfling might be Adam Daigle.

I'll ask them to confirm or correct.

I definitely wrote the Bone Crab, and Adam Daigle wrote the Isonade for sure.

I can check authorship of the goblin shark and wharfling/wharfling swarm when I get home. I know those two were my conceptions, but I can't remember if I actually wrote them or just outlined and passed them to a patron. I think Jonathan worked on the wharfling at some point but can't remember if the published version ended up being his version or mine.

Adam had a question mark beside the bone crab and goblin shark authors on the Bestiary Excel document he sent those of us who were helping him.

Thanks Brandon!

Now all I need to know is who wrote the sand giants in Lost City?

Cheers

According to Logan, the sand giants were by Jobe Bittman, and then Logan did the ghost giants based on those.

Thanks for updating the spreadsheet!

Even though the questions are already answered, the only one I was sure of was the isonade (which is why I didn't bother filling myself in on my list).

Also, while we're making author inquiries, anyone have a better idea of who did the following list? Some are old and just before my time, while others I could probably find if I searched enough old threads, but y'all are faster than that.

Darakhul
Gilded Devil
Drowned Maiden (I know I pitched this one, but I don't remember writing it.)
Blood Hag
Thursir
Maerean
Leshy
Weaving Spider
Witchlight

Hi Adam,

I think I know some of these:

Darakhul - Wolfgang wrote the original 3.5 creatures for Empire of the Ghouls, then Wolfgang & Scott Gable did the 4e Imperial Gazetteer where more variants of these appeared.

Gilded Devil - John Steven Schutt did the original 4e conversion in the Iron Gazetteer, but I don't know who came up with the original monster

Blood Hag - from Blood of the Gorgon, Nick Logue

Thursir - Jonathan McAnulty

Leshy - Clare Jones

Weaving Spider - Wolfgang Baur

Cheers
