At last I have some disposable income. So, my question is: How far along is the Dark Roads and Golden Hells project? How many months (if any!) of design and development work remain?

I do not intend to spend my hard-earned money anywhere other than KQ, but I want to spend it in a way that gets me the most bang for my buck. If DR&GH is drawing to a close, I will just wait to buy the .pdf release and join Journeys to the West in the meantime. Sadly, I cannot afford to be a patron of both projects at this time.

Honestly, the design phase is winding down in the next month. The playtest and development will carry on in the new year, but I don't know that it is necessarily worth signing up as a patron.

I would recommend Journeys to the West as far more a project in the early stages (design starts this weekend, December 18).

You and your volcanos, sir. I will start calling you "the evil Dr. Mongo" just so you can complete the Bond imagery!

Is there any way to sign up through the KQ store rather than Kickstart/Amazon? Reason is, I want to use PayPal rather than a credit card.

Looking forward to those volcanoes, Dr. Mongo!

No, not currently, Amy.

Amy, it is possible to do direct, send-money-to-anyone payments with PayPal if you'd really rather. It does mean you won't have a KQ store receipt or a Kickstarter notice, though.

We'll see how things stand tomorrow (Friday = Pay Day). Using the card might not be as big a deal as I first thought.

If it turns out that PayPal is still the best option, I am perfectly comfortable sending the payment directly to you, as long as you are comfortable receiving it.

Whatever option works for you, really. Kickstarter simplifies things considerably, but it's not the only road.
