At last I have some disposable income. So, my question is: How far along is the Dark Roads and Golden Hells project? How many months (if any!) of design and development work remain?
I do not intend to spend my hard-earned money anywhere other than KQ, but I want to spend it in a way that gets me the most bang for my buck. If DR&GH is drawing to a close, I will just wait to buy the .pdf release and join Journeys to the West in the meantime. Sadly, I cannot afford to be a patron of both projects at this time. |

Honestly, the design phase is winding down in the next month. The playtest and development will carry on in the new year, but I don't know that it is necessarily worth signing up as a patron.
I would recommend Journeys to the West as far more a project in the early stages (design starts this weekend, December 18).

Is there any way to sign up through the KQ store rather than Kickstart/Amazon? Reason is, I want to use PayPal rather than a credit card.

Amy, it is possible to do direct, send-money-to-anyone payments with PayPal if you'd really rather. It does mean you won't have a KQ store receipt or a Kickstarter notice, though.

We'll see how things stand tomorrow (Friday = Pay Day). Using the card might not be as big a deal as I first thought.
If it turns out that PayPal is still the best option, I am perfectly comfortable sending the payment directly to you, as long as you are comfortable receiving it. |

Whatever option works for you, really. Kickstarter simplifies things considerably, but it's not the only road.
