I had no difficulty at all navigating the archives, finding no broken links.

It's on my "to do list" for today, along with transferring all my writing material from my old 2 gig flash drive to my shiny new 8 gig flash drive. Mr. Green Oh, and getting some work done, too, just in case Wolfgang reads this. Wink

Thanks for the links!

Yeah, thanks for the links - I just bought a few stuff directly from Green Ronin.

Also, I've been finding some great deals on eBay - bought some this week and more are ending today. It's still "Christmas" at my house! Razz

Okay, what is the difference between the OGL and the d20 License?

I had just sort of thought the d20 logo meant that the item complied with the Open Gaming License; I gather I was wrong about that?

If I recall correctly, the d20 logo means the product still needs the core 3.5 books (or just the player's handbook, I can't remember).

They are two separate licenses. You had to include each license that you used in your product. In exchange, you could use the d20 logo (for the d20 license), and republish rules (both licenses). There were additional restrictions on the d20 license that made the OGL ultimately more desirable for many publishers who wanted to do more than adventures. (The d20 license restricted you from publishing an experience point table, for example.) The good point about the d20 license was that it indicated compatibility with D&D in the market.

Okay, I think I get it now... Differing legal ramifications for publishers, but not actually much for an end user like me to worry over.

Still, good to know the differences, even if d20 is dead now.

You mean that there are KQ magazines being destroyed because they haven't been shipped off for some reason (going back to one of Wolgang's earlier comments here)? Say it isn't so - and ship them to me, since I've only got pdfs.

Can you put 1d20 on the front of your book or D20? Wink

I don't think any issues of KQ have used the d20 License, only the OGL.

Yeah, I realized that was the impression I gave, but I was meaning any copies that were not sent out for any reason (and not set aside for back-orders).

It's first thing in the morning over here where I live and I'm just babbling crap like usual.
