| Should we organize some kind of information gathering? I'd love to meet as many fine folk as possible on my first trip to GenCon. |
Sure! We grabbed space at the Claughdah (?) pub on wednesday night last year... I'm not sure how people feel about something like that again?

Where is the pub in relation to downtown? |

Also, if someone has a room downtown - you know, one of the $150 + a night rooms? - and needs an extra roomie to defer some of the costs, PM me and maybe we can work something out.
I don't smoke and I don't snore and I'll gladly sleep in a cot or on some extra blankets on the floor. |

| The Claddagh is down next to the tracks and over a couple blocks from the hotel where they sometimes put overflow gaming and where they put the Gen Con Dance. It's easy enough to find and it's one of the bars with outside seating (which means great eye candy because it's at the end of a row of bars with patrons walking by). |

| Alas, I won't make it this year. Which is a pity, but I'm doing a heavy con schedule around Seattle and into Canada (NorWesCon, PaizoCon, PAX, and that one in Edmonton in October). |
I don't know about that. I'm still working out the "Get Wolfgang to Gen Con 2009" Fund Raiser!!
I think I can raise $800 towards your trip in 85 days!!
Let me clarify. I'm flying all the way from Kuwait for this! I'd be really bummed if a bunch of the OD crew wasn't there (that means you too, Mr. Baur). Unfortunately, I'm not independently wealthy, but I do okay for myself. I'm tempted to say I'll match anything we can raise to get Mr. Baur out, but I think that might be silly on my part. So, I'm saying this:
What sort of financial goal would be need to set to get you out there? I'm seriously thinking about running a Fund Raiser! And no booth, no work. We all chill, game!
Any thoughts? |

| It may be more an issue of time than money. That said, yeah I could chip in something. |

Time is a major factor: I'm committed to shipping Halls for 4E in August, and I have KQ and other projects as well.
Just saying it may not work, even if the finances are doable. _________________ Wolfgang Baur

I'd be willing to kick something reasonable into the kitty. Count me in.
