I do believe we've got a pornish spambot here. How quaint.

Yeah. Deleted, but ... Might need a fix for that beyond moderation. _________________ Wolfgang Baur

A couple things:
A) I recommend changing the title of the thread. One of the things spammers want is for search engines to be able to find their URL on other sites. So by leaving his URL in the title, you're helping him out even though his other stuff is gone.
B) In the admin console, you should be able to ban the user (if you haven't already). If the spam comes from a consistent e-mail pattern, you can ban that too. For example, the site I admin/moderate (which uses the same software as this one) had a problem with spammers using a certain "ass end" of the email. The name was always different, but everything after the @ symbol was the same. So we banned the whole email.
C) Not sure who does your "tech support" for the forums, but there's a few modifications that can be added to the software that makes it more difficult for a spam bot to register and post; a human, of course, could still get around it though. I could help a bit if you'd be interested in talking about it. _________________ John Ling
