O.k. This is not the thread for it but people might be interested so I will make on summary post and let it go at that. Feel free to start a dedicated thread over in the Off Topic on logging in.
It would not have worked the first time since an id cookie was incorrectly set due to some contorted logic we go through. 99 time out of 100 it works fine. You were just unlucky. Sorry about that.
A couple things happened (I am guessing) between when you were having problems and logging in again. The cookies expired so when you logged in again, it was as though they had been deleted.
Now, I imagine you are hitting the quote or post or login to check cookies or in someway getting to a login screen for the forums. This needs to be changed and I will be working on it. When logging into the site, please use the Login link at the top of the forum, the store login, or the login fields on the index page of the forums. Any of these will log you into both stores. Currently, we are still shaking down all the logins to allow for the login to both store and forum. The usual state should be both.
Hopefully that answered your questions.

Hi all, I have been badgered, pushed and cajoulled into getting more involved with D&D, a game I have played for almost 30 years. Well here I am, posting my first not on a message board! One thing I did pick up on is that there seems to be various levels of subscription or membership, how to I get to the really deep levells and really have some input into new design products - Ted |

Congrats on the first post, and welcome to the forums! The Kobold subscription is pretty straightforward, $16 for PDF or $36 for print+PDF.
The Open Design projects are discussed a little bit over on the Open Design blog.
Signing up there is straightforward for the current project: $25 gets you access to the project discussions (very active), access to the design essays, and a copy of the adventure when it ships. The $75 level gets you more posts, direct access ot the manuscript as it is written, and other goodies. _________________ Wolfgang Baur
