| Let us know! (I did, even though I was deliberately vague on the Paizo boards initially.) |

I did not. I didn't think it would be fair to the patrons of The Breaking of Forstor Nagar if I got in, so I abstained.
I did look over a couple of entries, though, to help a few folks out.
Maybe next year...

I also found out that I'm not permitted to compete in RPGSuperstar anymore. :/ The work I did for _Halls_ disqualifies me.

You're a pro, and I don't think anyone's surprised by that. _________________ Wolfgang Baur

Really? Varianor asked about eligibility and got the green light, and I assumed HMK would fall in the same category. I wonder what the distinction is ...
Not that I'm implying that you aren't a pro. |

Same here...
I think he's a pro too, but I also think he's eligible. Otherwise I'm in a lot of hot water.
The rules state that you can't be on the cover of a print product that Paizo has published. Any print product that Paizo has published.. so a PFS module would be okay as they're PDF only.
You also can not have been on the cover of a hardback print product published by a 3rd Party Publisher. Tales of Zobeck does not disqualify me or Varianor because that is an electronic book. Sure, we got print copies made at LuLu, but the book was not published in print. That is the distinction.
Now these days Mr. Terraleon can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned, however with all due respect I remember when you asked about eligibility, Ben. SKR didn't say you were ineligible, he just pointed you back to the rules.
I think you're misinterpreting them. And I mean that in a good way.. Like maybe you can enter next year unless you end up on the cover of a print product. |

I entered the contest with my Kerchief of Vanishing!
I did not get selected to be a finalist.
Still waiting for feedback on my wondrous item... |

Whew..
Well.. that's done. Now we shall see what we shall see. I made it to the Finals and submtted my entry this afternoon, and come Tuesday we'll see what the judges think of it.
Not to be defeatist, but my personal goal was to make it to the Top 4. I did that. Now I'm hoping to go the distance but I'm pleased that I made it as far as I did. I'm also happy with what I submitted.
And I learned a lot on the way.
Win or lose, I plan to share some of that with the KQ / OD community once it's over (or close to being over). In the meantime, next Tueday please take a look at what I proposed. Vote as you see fit, but please give me a read through!
Now I have some time to check out the Old Margreave. Congratulations to Tim and Eileen on their fast commissioning.

Watcher, congrats on an amazing run to the Finals. You did good work and should be very proud of the achievement, regardless of what happens in the final round.
Honestly, everyone who makes even the first cut is doing *something* right. The competition over there is fierce.
I'd love to hear your report on "what I learned", and maybe it could even go as a short article or essay on the KQ home page. Just a thought, but I think people really do want to hear your inside scoop! _________________ Wolfgang Baur

And you'll get that report!
I'm going to wait till next Tuesday after the winner is announced. That will also give me some time to sit with my thoughts for awhile.
I do ask that people head over to the site, read 'Doom of the Dream Thieves" and vote for their favorite. Even if your favorite isn't the judges' favorite. I think that supports the author and helps them get work in the future, and it sends a signal to the Publisher that you're interested in the subject material of the proposal if not this specific execution.
As for me.. I'm 3-4 weeks behind on Margreave. Even guest pitchers (of which I am not, I'm a card carrying Senior Patron), have to be 'up' on the project.. so I got some work cut out for me to catch up.
