So I went to register a domain for my new (well, up and coming) blog about gaming only to discover that my witty and brilliant url has already been taken. TenFootPole.com is currently being used by an eponymous band that derives their name not from that indispensable 1st Ed tool but rather:
| Quote: |
| Asked about the meaning of the title, Dennis says "George W. coined the phrase in response to accusations that his election ads used subliminal techniques. I interpret it as a melding of subliminal and abominable, a combination appropriate for today's political climate." |
Anyways. Just wanted to grumble about it here and get it off my chest. Back to the drawing board! |

As an alternate that still evokes those old days of essential mundane equipment, how about: I Spike the Door!

| Actually, I've surged bravely ahead and created 10By10Room.blogspot.com. I've even knocked out my first post, wherein I seek to explain why that illustrated map from 'Chapter 2 - Using the Rules' of the old DM's Guide has haunted me so all these long, long years... |

Thanks Grayham! Your comment is much appreciated. I've just written up my first Wondrous Item. It's what I would have submitted to the RPG Superstar competition if I'd caught it in time. As is, I'd love any feedback people would be willing to send my way, especially with a pricing issue quandary I ran into.
I'm seeing my blog as a place to work out the kinks before I start submitting to places like KQ |
