Also, once the party gets to Arbonesse/Azlant - there could be "pockets of air" or a large bubble/dome that protects portions of the city.
I like the idea of pieces of the ruins being underwater, other portions having breathable air, etc. This would provide a nice mix of terrain. |
I concur Eyebite.. If the Golarion aspect was legal, it would make sense from a canonical perspective. James Jacobs has said that each of the Runelords were aware of the Starstone's eventual impact.. but each took their own unique approach to surviving it.
I'd love to see some of the old dead gods of Golarion get some treatment. |

Wolfgang, I'd love it if you talked to Paizo and asked them if you can set it in Golarion!
I enjoy the articles in Kobold Quarterly. I have never played or DMed an underwater adventure and would be very curious to see one done correctly. You have my vote to proceed with the chance to write this one. |

I too would support an underwater, deep sea, rip-snortin' adventure regardless of the setting! Except maybe 4E...but even then...maybe.
As for breathing underwater, I created a handy little magic item called a Triton Tear which I use in all of my games where surviving underwater for a long period of time is necessary.
Essentially, Triton's Tears are small crystals of the same size and consistency as a cough drop. You suck 'em and while they are dissolving in your mouth, they give you the ability to breathe water; the effect lasts approximately 30 minutes.
One can find them in just about any port town and they are fairly inexpensive, roughly 1 silver piece each or a baker's dozen for 1 gold.
Feel free to "steal" this idea for your own campaigns, fellers!

For that matter, if you're interested in an undersea campaign run via IRC on Sunday nights (9pm-midnight, Eastern), just let me know. |

He failed to mention the option to use them as suppositories, for longer durations |

Interesting conversation with the Paizo gang at lunch today. Should have an answer about a Golarion license by November 6. _________________ Wolfgang Baur

| I'm glad they are willing to let you play with their world. I'm going to Senior Patron this when it comes along. Sad to have to wait, but I'm sure it'll be worth it. |
