Another good Zelazny source is his novel Shadowjack (as big inspiration for the OD&D thief, as well as the shade, of course); there's an interesting cross-over between Shadowjack and Amber, in that there's a Shadowjack story in the Illustrated Roger Zelazny, which features mostly-Amber content....
