LOL.
At least in the interview, they fessed up that the new license was a closed, royalty-free license that could be revoked at any time. That's an honest answer I wish I'd known in October.
And I drink Jones Soda, Cherry Coke, and Red Bull, for the record. Diet Red Bull tastes exactly like liquid Smarties, as far as I'm concerned, and that's a good thing. _________________ Wolfgang Baur

How would it have impacted decisions? I'm curious... I have to admit, I find rolling the STL into the GSL as a method of subtle content control unsurprising.

Hypothetically speaking, I suspect I would have made less noise about KQ serving both editions.
I would probably have done different things with KQ print distribution, and the editorial calendar.
And if I were smarter than I really am, I would have investigated the support for going pure OGL much sooner, with True20 or another independent rules set.
Mostly I would have spent a LOT less time worrying about it. _________________ Wolfgang Baur
