I love KQ's stuff, but to be honest I've only used the things they offer for free so far. I purchased Visions of the Oracle today, and it looks really good.

I'd like to hear some opinions of the Advanced Feats series and how they worked out in game-play before I offer this product to my group.

Thanks in advance,

Surprised by the quiet, but then, it's only been out for 24 hours.

There's also a call for comments/impressions on the Paizo boards.

I saw that one. I also posted the same question I asked here on Paizo. Nothing there, either.

I played a character with prophetic dreamer (or something very close to it) in a great campaign quite a while back. I had a really wonderful game master who used to help drive the story and it was exciting when we encountered something I'd had a dream about and to use the hints I was given to help resolve the encounter.

I've also played a character with Somatic Weapon which is just a very handy feat when you play a character that likes to fight and cast spells. (I'm very fond of playing battle clerics and the like.)

I've also seen people play with the equivalent of Meta Spell (it was used as a house rule rather than a feat). It was powerful and tended to make the casters that took it very focused on their favorite spells. Like I did with the Phoenix build, you can use it to ensure that nearly every spell slot can be used to cast a version of your favorite spell. Wizards could always do this, but due to a spontaneous casters limited list, it makes them seem even more focused. Personally it is one of my favorites from the pdf.

I design the feats to be powerful, but not unbalancing. Clever players will always find some loopholes and unforeseen combinations, but I'm confident they will all hold up well and not give you headaches as a GM. I've written hundreds and edited thousands of feats so its kind of my specialty as a writer/designer. That said, nothing proves out an idea better than good playtesting so you are wise to seek experience from play!

Also I'd love to hear first hand accounts of folks using the feats. Whenever I write or create something the very best reviews are: "I tried it out and loved it."
