Inspired by the Steam and Brass thread, I went back and read both the Steam and Brass description (including the linked pages defending the patronage rights to prevent others from buying it later).
I then went to Castle Shadowcrag. It seems that adventure follows the later model of "If you are a patron for other projects, you can buy in on this one." BUT it also seems that it is no longer available to the public.
I have been a current patron (at the time) for Blood of the Gorgon and now Tales of Zobek. I was a late patron (i.e. because I was a patron for Blood of the Gorgon) for Empire of the Ghouls and 6 Arabian Nights.
If it is possible to buy late patronage for Castle Shadowcrag at this point (given this later model) I'd love to. I don't know if it was originally a "print run" that could now be done through print on demand OR if it was a "set number of licensed copies" that was above the number of original patrons, so that a limited number of later patrons could get on board....a limited number that has been met.
So if this is a possibility, I'd love to buy Shadowcrag while I wait for the finishing touches on Zobek.
Thanks for any and all responses. |

Anyone know the answer to this one?
Is this available? If so, how do I buy it? If not, why not? |

| The usual rule of thumb for buying a copy of a completed project is that the project is available until the next one commissions. (There is a special exception for ENnie-nominated products so that the gaming public can read and review before voting.) In the case of Shadowcrag, both of those windows closed already. |

Darn! Well, thanks for the info, it is appreciated.
Any chance of a potential, I dunno...5 year anniversary of Open Design opening up projects other than Steam and Brass?

I just came to the conclusion I'd be curious to get my hands on a copy of Shadowcrag as well. Is the above response a definitive answer? I know that is generally the policy, but I also know there's a lot of exceptions to policy around here.
If it's not available for purchase via KQ/OD, is there anyone that would like to sell their copy?

On rare occasions KQ has been known to give out copies of older projects as prizes to contests. I know it was possible to get Shadowcrag a while back with the KQ T-Shirt contest. So there is slim hope for the future. _________________ -Jesse Butler

| Both were pdf, with an option for the patron to purchase a print edition through a fulfillment house. So you a) had to be a patron and b) had to purchase a print edition. (I'm thinking of buying a box and painting "Hen's Teeth" on it to hold my copies, along with my DDG with the Nehwon and Cthulhu mythoi.) |

I've wondered what a full catalog would go for. I don't think I'd want to give mine up, though.

I joined things at Empire, and picked up Shadowcrag when it got the nomination. I only have Steam and Brass because I won a contest through crazy picture taking zealotry.
