| I'm looking through my copy of Northlands and I got this weird idea for a weapon. Physically it combines a hammer staff, a great ax or a dwarven war ax and a spear. Stats wise it's a halberd that has bludgeoning added to the list of damage types it deals. The idea is that like a halberd is basically an axe and a spear combined into one, and some halberds are depicted as a double bited ax with a spear point between the ax blades I would just replace one of the two ax blades with a bludgeoning hammer head for almost a Swiss Army Pole-arm of fantasy so a warrior has a chopper if that's what he needs, a crusher or an impaler in one weapon. You still can't use any more than one aspect of the weapon at any given time so you have to choose how to use the weapon or by putting all these elements together in one weapon I'm automatically making an exotic weapon instead of simply re-skinning the halberd? |
