| Bah! I didn't realize you had to register for panels as well. I hope they get my issue with not being able to add tickets to my cart or wishlist straightened out soon. . . |
I don't know if I've broken any rules of whatnot, but I've never had a ticket for a panel I've been to and no one's ever asked me for one. I also spent more time at panels than gaming tables at GenCon and never had a problem. That said, I have had to stand at the back of the room a time or two, but that's more a factor of not getting there early enough rather than any sort of ticket. |

Well thanks Daigle, that makes me feel a bit better. It's my first GenCon and so everytime I do something I feel like I'm not doing it right.
On top of that I'm representing StufferShack.com, as media, and myself as a fan/freelancer, which I'm guessing accounts for some of my registering issues.
Oh well. I'm told the correct person is now trying to fix it. |

Where are people staying for the Con? I've never been to the convention before but I really can't afford staying Downtown at the moment.
I'm looking at the Econo Lodge near the airport, but Im curious if people have suggestions. |

| I believe that's where I stayed last year and it was ok. For us it was just a bed to sleep on, We spent very little time away from the con. Only downside was the drive to and from meant less time playing games. Figure into the pricing a$30 parking fee each day. That's about what we paid for the malls parking garage. |

Alright. Sooooo, if Jillian's is closed, we'll need to find a new Meet&Greet location.
My first thought is the Hard Rock Cafe, because it's going to be minor friendly... I'll have to nose around. Dang. That's not a good thing.

All right; we're now 5 weeks out from Gen Con, so I thought I'd give this a bump. I will definitely be there, and I'm looking forward to meeting a bunch of kobolds this year.
This is the exciting part of the year for me; it's better than Christmas! We're only 4 hours drive from Indy, and years ago I convinced my daughter that Gen Con/Indy is the coolest place to be.
This year I had to file motions with the federal courts in Michigan to change four different trial dates for that week. Now all the judges know at least that I'm a committed nerd. |

| Well I got all my registration issues sorted, and I've got travel and accommodations booked so I'll be there. In fact it was cheaper to leave late Monday night so I'll be lingering after. |

| My wife and I will be there and hope to make that Sat 9am session. Any further thoughts on the after-hours meetup? |

Generally, we meet on Wednesday, but there's room for more. I'll post more details and options shortly.

| How late do you meet on Wednesday? Unfortunately, we are leaving Michigan after work and will get down to Indy around 9 or 10 pm. I wouldn't mind going out for a drink then, but understand if people break up early to get some sleep. |

I'll be there again this year. My wife is also coming again, and this year we're bringing our minions (aka the rugrats).
My daughter is looking forward to the writing seminars... _________________ John Ling

My wife is going to the one by Mike Stackpole (Friday PM I think it is). Is she going to that one? |
