What is your current campaign?

My group is running a 3.5 campaign set in the world of Aereth. We play-by-email because we are quite a distance apart. We stated this campaign called "West to the Empire" back in June and have mostly been using the Dungeon Crawl Classics as our adventure source material.

I don't have one at the moment, as I'm between Iraq / Washington / New York / Bulgaria. Some day... I shall play, again.

PS: Thanks for tinkering

No problem. The forums seem to work really well. I'm not noticing any problems.

I am in the process of revamping my campaign, so at the moment, Limbo.

I've been running my current campaign since summer of 2002. We started with 1st-level characters and now they've reached 20th-22nd. The party is currently on a quest to rescue the PC wizard's mother from the Labyrinth. A son of Zeus, a former evil ruler, has been imprisoned there in minotaur form (CR 25 abomination) as punishment for his evil and hubris when he ruled an empire about a thousand years ago. I use a campaign world I first started to develop 29 years ago after my first college semester of playing D&D. Smile

We have been running Savage Tide, but we took a break while one of our players wanted to try his hand at running a game.

I actually created an entire campaign world years ago but it got to be so huge and so much work I shelved it.

Since I've always been a fan of Forgotten Realms I decided to run an FR campaign and just modify it to fit any adventures I want to use, either published WotC material or out of Dungeon magazine. We're currently using 3.5 rules.

All this talk about changes in the Realms for 4e makes me nervous. Honestly, I'm not looking forward to buying a bunch of new books. I've already invested a fortune for my not so small library.

Most of the PCs are around level 9-10. We're currently near the end of a home-written adventure and I'm looking forward to running Hand of Doom next and just modify it for a higher-level group.

A lot of them are looking forward to starting prestige classes and now that 4e is changing that... again... I hope it's improvement.

When rumors of 4e first surfaced (or at least when I first heard them) I talked to my players and we agreed that we didn't want to see a new edition before 2010 at the earliest. When Wizards confirmed 4e we discussed it again and all agreed that we have absolutely no desire to switch to the new system and buy a stack of new books. From what we've heard about 4e so far we have no desire to ever switch to it. So we will stick with 3.5 for the foreseeable future.

Hey all. Just discovered Kobold and have already bought the back issues and subscribed for a year. Really excited about the prospect of a new print magazine to replace my old one. And I have no interest in an online only version. Love to take my mags with me and read when I have the time.

My current campaign is set in the Wilderlands of High Fantasy and we are using the AD&D 2nd edition rules. The group is currently wrapping up the third module of the D1-3 series. There were enough changes made though that they didn't really catch on what they were running until they were well into D3. We play online now days using Fantasy Grounds as all the old friends are scattered all over the US.

Great to have you in the Mines, Alarian!

Have you tried using GlitterComm?

That looks really cool, I've actually been looking for something like that, has anyone here used it?

I've tinkered with it, but I'm not a Virtual Tabletop gamer, so...

If you want to chat about GlitterComm, start a thread! I know Wyvern, the creator, would love to read your opinions.

I'm thinking about using a program like that with a projector to turn the virtual tabletop into a real tabletop, I think the possibilities could be endless.

My group plays in the Realms. I am finishing up a campaign that began in Innarlith, moved to Chult, and is wrapping up in Waterdeep. Coming up next, one of the guys is going to run us through Expedition to undermountain.

Same here, I like a couple of the things I've seen for 4$ED but most of what I have seen looks terrible in my opinion. My group will definitely not be switching immediately upon release, and I doubt we ever will, but I won't count out that possibility completely.
