Oh you lucky SOB, you are in for a treat! It is a great SF series from TV, written by the guy who did Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

It's a bit of a Western, with lasers. Totally worth tracking down the DVDs.

Oh, I thought it was an RPG or something! Yeah, I've heard of it! Sounds good!

Great theme song. Excellent dialects and word usage too. Really gets a lot of flavor across.

I guess I would be in the minority, because I didn't really care for Firefly. I may give it another look, maybe I was just in the wrong frame of mind when I watched it.

Firefly was boring for me the first time watching it. I didn't care anything about the characters until I had watched 3/4ths of the series.

However, once I got to that point where I cared about the characters the entire series suddenly became very cool. Now I can go back and watch the series from the start and really enjoy it. Just had to break through that wall.

Give it a shot. I didn't like it until the third or fourth episode. I think it makes for a great gaming premise though.

I just wrapped up my 2 yr Eberron campaign. Things were dragging on and I decided to just end it rather than heading into a new set of modules. I ran the group through many of the earlier Eberron adventures (though not the St. Demain ones, still have to run those) and then started into a modified City of the Spider Queen. I think that did it in. Too much underdark and too many of the same thing over and over again.

We're just gearing up for an Iron Kingdoms game and I hope to draw from a lot of the Zobeck stuff for inspiration. Looking forward to trying to fit OD5 and Shadowcrag in somehow.

I'm "on sabbatical" from gaming (pressures of life, blah blah), and taking the time to revamp the Shadowend, my homebrew setting. I had an epiphany some time ago, and realized part of my frustration with the setting was that I was inadvertently recreating the Forgotten Realms, in scale if not in details.

It's tough to drag a party across the Realms and have anywhere sink in as a "real" place.

So I took all the interesting bits and smashed them together.

I'll probably run a stripped-down 3e game for a few months this spring -- or throw caution to the wind and run a fantasy RISUS game.

I just wrapped up Age of Worms, after over two and half years at it. We are picking up with the Shackled City as the next campaign. A bit of a bass ackwards order, but that's ok.

I'm running a conversion of the old school Desert of Desolation modules by Weis and Hickman in FR 3.5 setting.

Also about to start the Pathfinder modules.

I am currently running a Ptolus game and play in a somewhat intermittent Arcana Evolved game set in Serathis (from 'Ruins of Intrigue').

Oh yeah, and I play in a couple of varianor's PBMB's. (which are awesome)

Twice? You power through those amazingly fast; it's a big adventure path. Did you streamline it, or are your players super-efficient?

And tell me about the PFRPG playtest! I haven't had any time to run it.

Oh no...

I am actively running Rise of the Runelords in two different sessions. Maybe I misunderstood the premise of the thread?

Saturday's group is half way through Chapter 3, and Tuesday's group is halfway through Chapter One.

Tuesday loves PFRPG.. I'll explain more tomorrow, I'm up late watching these damp primaries... Very Happy
