1. How do Sorcerer bloodlines work with Gearforged? Would it be explained as being magically attached to the soul?
2. Do Half-Orcs exist? Or are there Orcmarked?
3. What would be the status of a Dhampir in Morgau and Doresh?
4. Are the elemental dragons (Fire, Wind) just different names for Red and Gold? Or do they differ cosmetically? (The same stats, but maybe different looks)
5. How many Kobolds does it take to screw in a lightbulb? |

You got it. The bloodline existed before the caster became gearforged.
2. Do Half-Orcs exist? Or are there Orcmarked?
No half-orcs in the home campaign. Actually, not a ton of orcs, though there are some. YMMV.
3. What would be the status of a Dhampir in Morgau and Doresh?
This hasn't come up to date, but they could be pretty much a regular part of daily life. Vampire half-bloods, experiments, a weaker line than the prince's, any number of explanations.
4. Are the elemental dragons (Fire, Wind) just different names for Red and Gold? Or do they differ cosmetically? (The same stats, but maybe different looks)
Tough question, oddly enough, because the elemental dragons are the in-game names for whatever dragon breath weapon they have. The Midgard dragons in the home game are all named creatures with language, spells, teeth, claws, and breath weapons.
Beyond that, though, the dragons each have a one-off set of stats, so... Midgard residents tend to use elemental categories because there's no other way to classify dragons neatly into groups.
5. How many Kobolds does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None! Kobolds have darkvision to 60 ft. _________________ Wolfgang Baur

1. That makes sense.
2. I don't have the book available, but I only remember Orcs being even mentioned maybe once in the Campaign Setting. So yeah... like Drow, they seem to exist, but not really be a major force.
3. I guess my question would mostly be whether or not they are treated as well as if they were undead... or if treat as just another mortal. But, I guess that would be another 'depends on your GM' thing. I'd almost think they would be treated at a level as Kobolds and Dragonkin are in the Dragon Empires.
(what got me thinking about Dhampirs were the bloodlines in the Crossroads PG)
4. Aha! Now I see. That was the only bit about the dragons that confused me a bit.
5. Let the bigguns stumble around, eh?
6. I know Drow "exist". But how about Duergar? And would they be a good place to insert Psionics into a campaign? For some reason, Cassadega and the Western Wastes seems like a good place, too.
7. Is there going to be a PC style write up for the Centaur and the Gnoll? |

I think there's no reason not to include duergar if you want them. Dark dwarves who ally themselves with Loki and the giants, perhaps? Or worse, duergar might be friends with the Ghoul Imperium.
Psionics could easily fit into Cassedega and the Wastes, though I always think of them as a thing associated with Sikkim and the East. Maybe Khandiria.
As for the centaur and gnoll writeups, possibly. The centaurs are a good fit for a writeup in the Plains, the gnolls a match for a writeup in the South and Nuria-Natal. _________________ Wolfgang Baur

1. I am very sad to see Kobold Quarterly go. I had just discovered it. But, I know Midgard lives, so that is awesome.
2. Is it Cathay or Kathay? I noticed it changed between the CS and Pirates.
3. Are we going to get a map update for the locations in Pirates?
BTW, so far I really love the Pirates book. If there is anything I love as much as all things Norse/Germanic, it is pirates... yarr!

I've been very ill, so it took a while for me to reply.
Good ideas on the Duergar.
Can't wait for more info on Sikkim and the East/Khandiria. I did notice a bit on it in Pirates. |
