Hello!
So I'm doing a lot of conversion of the OGL Halls manuscripts to 4E, and I've done a playtest session of a couple parts. But...
There are sections I'd really like to see receive more playtesting...and that's where we are here.
To that end, we've got the plan for 3 more playtest sessions at Gencon. Patrons will get preference for seats, but we want playtesters! Here are the open slots:
Wednesday, 8pm to end. (8th level characters.)
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
Thursday, 9pm to end (10th level characters.)
1. Mark Daymude
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
Saturday, 8am to 12pm.
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
I think our best bet for playspace will be the Marriott across the street from the Convention center, we acquired a chunk of table there with little heartache last year, but I'll be gathering numbers from folks in the coming weeks.
Characters should be:
1. Point buy for stats.
2. Level appropriate for the session you're playing.
3. A class that we're either playtesting for Halls (you should have access to the material if you know what I'm talking about.) OR...
4. A class from a printed WotC source. No Dragon or WotC playtest material please, and do me a favor-- have the source material on hand for reference.
5. Equipment should be an item of Level, Level+1, Level+2 and gold equal in value to a Level item--which you can use to purchase anything else you want for gear.
Let me know if you've got further questions and shoot me a mail at:
bmcfarland@koboldquarterly.com
if you're interested. NDAs will be provided.

Just keep them in tracked changes, the editor is already underway with some of the manuscript sections... _________________ Wolfgang Baur

Jeremy refused to divulge the details of the secret pact he made with infernal powers that provides him with such easy access to so many industry giants. I asked, twice even, and offered snacks, but to no avail.
Everyone was very helpful and friendly though, thanks again!

Sorry! I'd meant to respond on LJ!
It went well! Good players, useful feedback, it kept me busy and allowed me to meet more patrons, which is always cool. Gencon's crazy though, so I didn't get the kind of time I like to have after a playtest to discuss further.

Sounds cool. I need to get out to GenCon Indy one day. No UK version this year which is a shame - we had a good time at last year's and because it's small I got to meet Rich Baker, Erik Mona and Jason Buhlman which was really cool.
