I still play 2E from time to time. You guys make s yearn for the simpler days of RPGing. I wonder if all of us old timers will get left behind. I am 43 and have been playing D&D since 1977, wow 30+ years! I have played every incarnation and will probably continue to play, but it just won't be the same. |

Yeah, but look on the bright side. If there's good stuff in 4E, we can plunder its uniqueness and add it to our own.
And if it suxx0r, we can moxx0r it. _________________ Wolfgang Baur

Yeah, as soon as I manage to decipher what you madmen are saying, I'll like it too. _________________

I know its just me, but I would kill for an Alternity article. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who would read it much less commit a capital offense so...
Beyond that I'm happy with it being D20. Can we sneak in some Star Wars support if you get good articles? |

You would have to be old to understand it. |

Hey there old timer! Been rolling dem bones since '83 in college and still going strong - although the real dice have been primarily replaced by online dice rollers, and I don't get around the table anymore, it's still a lot of fun.
Oh for the "glory" days when you graduated from Basic to Expert and then dove headfirst into Advanced 1st Edition! Still love all of that. These young 'uns don't know what they missed.

welcome to my world! We get together once a month or so for a full weekend. A little Friday night, all day Saturday and a few hours Sunday, then 4+ weeks or recovery. |

Neither Alternity nor Star Wars is in the cards, because Lucasfilms and WotC don't have open licensing on those. The Lucas magazine rights belong to Star Wars Insider, last I checked. _________________ Wolfgang Baur

Fair enough. Not trying to get anyone in trouble. D20 is fine with me. If you sneak in the occasional articles for other systems, that works too. |

I know that my group will only be playing 3.5 - which I am very happy about. 4th has some perks but there is nothing there for a long term group which I am part.
On a side note - I'd love to see some GURPS stuff too! |
