Alas, I won't make it this year. Which is a pity, but I'm doing a heavy con schedule around Seattle and into Canada (NorWesCon, PaizoCon, PAX, and that one in Edmonton in October).

Yeah, it's a bit of an oddball, but apparently they have a powerful gaming scene driven by the need to hibernate beneath the snows from September to April.
Or so I'm told.

Dude, you gotta go - I've been wanting to meet you for years!
And on another note, I've been "shortchanged" with my roomie for Wednesday night (Aug. 12) - he can't get off work and won't be flying in until Thursday (Aug. 13).
Bad thing about that is this > I've already bought my plane ticket for arrival on the 12th! Any thoughts about where to stay for one night? |

I went last year, but the expense was huge for a small magazine just making it's way in the world. I can't really justify it from a business perspective this year.
That said, I'd love to attend this year, but my travel budget is already spoken for. I am planning on attending GenCon 2010 and possibly all the even-numbered years.
Hope your roommate situation gets sorted! I have no useful advice on housing in Indy, other than "Book it in February".

Sure! We grabbed space at the Claughdah (?) pub on wednesday night last year... I'm not sure how people feel about something like that again?
