My last Gen Con was in '97.
Been awhile.

I'd LOVE to go. But the odds are slim.
I've only ever made it to local cons and GenCon has a disadvantage for me in that it occurs during my school year (I'm a teacher). And I'd hate to have to pay to fly out there and only get to be there Friday night through Sunday morning. Too much money for not enough bang, at least as a consumer/player... _________________ Jeff Greiner...

Alright, did my homework on this 'Gen Con'. Darn. It's in Indiana? That's a ways away from Oregon... _________________

People come from farther away, one guy comes from New Zealand, another from Japan. |

Several Brits, a few Canucks too.
I've gone every year since it moved to Indy (by coincidence), which was... '03?
I should be there again this year. _________________ John Ling

| Been going every year since 2004 (and um, 1984). Not sure if I can go this year or not. Hoping too. |

After almost 30 years of gaming, I attended my first GenCon in 2006, came back again in 2007. Unfortunately, since I lost my job last year and I'm still looking for something to pay my bills, GenCon 2008 is looking very doubtful for me. _________________ Michael J Thompson

I'm going! Definitely got it set in stone now. Not for as long as I'd like, but hey, can't be choosers.
Anyone else's plans firmed up? |
