This monster does not seem to me to be a suitably interesting encounter for an adventuring party. Where are the multiple attacks and minor actions that one might expect to see from a solo creature? Once I work on 3.5 again I'm sure I'll be writing some 3.5 monsters again (like the pale shepherd).
