Wow these seem great to throw at characters who rely on their weapons for everything. A decent way to divert a combat group toward a skill challenge.

Wooden plows are pretty historically accurate. Metal tools were a rarity.

But certainly you can bludgeon a full-armored knight with a quarterstaff just as well as with a mace. Call me sympathetic to the peasantry.

I imagine one where the magnet stone is surrounded by a very deep pit. PCs stuck to the stone who free themselves will plummet down and others have a very hard time helping them.

Nice hazard. I enjoy throwing magnets at characters in my games.

Oh, and very, very clever peasants who plow the fields around a magnet stone. Knights and bandits with their metal weapons and armor can just suck it up.
