Though I, like Scott, don’t make the players track rations. However, saying, “Oh hey, that cloud just spoiled all your rations that you were somehow carrying without having ever purchased, you have to gather and hunt until you get back to civilization” is a pretty cool hook.

i like the idea, but i’ve never had a DM that asked for ration tracking. When i’ve DMed i haven’t asked for it either.

i’d go for something that drains constitution until you eat.
