Matthew, great work on the indexing, I think it turns what could have been a "great idea but hard to use" book into something that is easily accessible and fast to use.

Wolfgang, thanks for the great review of Eureka, and as the gnomes index guy (I compiled the data with a mix of VB and Access), allow me to say thanks so much for the enthusiasm on the indexes! All the gnomes worked very hard on them, and we were all in agreement, that indexes were a big concern.

Also, allow me to address the one concern you voice about Eureka: Not enough Fantasy. We hear you! 100% we hear you. You'll be glad to know, that of the 334 sci-fi and horror plots, 297 are tagged as Easily adaptable to Fantasy. Similarly, 253 of 334 fantasy and horror plots are tagged sci-fi, and 171 of 334 fantasy and sci-fi plots are tagged horror. Thus, All three primary genres really get over 2/3s of the book!

In a way, fantasy is the most adaptable of the three genres. It's got a ton of different flavors, and "it's magic" can genre shift any number of plot elements. Sci-fi is similar with it's high-tech elements. Horror is really the hardest genre to shift because even if you give something the trappings of horror, it needs to have a special something to make it horrific, and that's not always easily available. Still, even horror has it's 167 primary plots, plus 171 plots easily adaptable to horror, again, over 2/3s of the book.
