Hmm, Friday, Saturday...it's entirely possible that I wrote that column before Gen Con, or perhaps even before I checked my schedule for Gen Con, or that I'm just really stupid. Er, I mean...that is, if I were Greg A. Vaughan.

And plastic has a high malleability. That could have happened to anyone!

To be fair, Wolfgang, that Spawn of Demogorgon mini is only about 1" high. But, hell, did it still put a whopping on Vaughan. Who knew plastic was so resilient and Greg so...you know...Greggy??

I saw Grey Vaughn wrestle a Spawn of Demogorgon in a tub full of jello once. Alcohol may have been involved.

Also, I think he did something at PaizoCon involving a game of Twister. Seems like a nice guy, in any case. And he tips well!

Thus ends the sad tale of an average joe applying subtlety learned from professional wrestling to infiltrate the bastion of nerdery that is GenCon. The moral of this story: To survive in Indianapolis, don't be a dick.

(which Mr. Vaughan actually is not, regardless of the stories)

Fat snake Rich? Oh, you must mean a purple worm! There was a Pathfinder remix of classic monsters called Dungeon Denizens that came out a year or so ago. Did he do that monster? Eh, who knows ... just another face in the crowd I guess.
:) Seriously, Greg Vaughan is one of my favorite adventure designers. My personal favorite: Touch of the Abyss from Dungeon Magazine. An awesome three-parter filled with "Against the Giants" nostalgia, it takes place 18 years after that classic adventure ended. My group and I throughly enjoied it!
