When Ed Healy sent us a link to the latest episode of his RPG Countdown podcast with the cryptic note, “Thought you’d like to have a listen…” we were most intrigued. We soon discovered that Kobold Quarterly occupies two spots on the countdown of top-selling game products!
The Kobold Guide to Game Design comes in at #9, and on the show, contributor Ed Greenwood talks about his essay on how to create Dastardly Plots for your campaign. It’s a fascinating insight into how one of the great authors and designers in the game industry approaches storytelling.
Kobold Quarterly #16 takes the #2 spot in the countdown (maybe the mermaid on the cover helps sales?) and Robin D. Laws says some very nice things about our small-but-fierce magazine.
A new Open Design Podcastis now available, and there’s a special prize in this one. You could win a sketch by the amazing artist Tony DiTerlizzi: he’s drawn a quickling (pictured right) exclusively for Open Design Podcast and one lucky fan. Just listen to the episode for the instructions, and the original artwork could be yours.
