| By the way, it too me about 10 tries to reply to this message. On the other tries, it asks me to log in, and then boots me to the store. When I return to the forum, it doesn't remember I've logged in, and continues to boot me to the store whenever I try to. |
Thank you for supporting the project!
As to the reply problem: It's a corrupted cookie issue. If you delete the KQ cookie from your browser (or use an alternate browser), you should see the problem resolved.
And yes, I'm hoping for a fix, but it means ripping out two platforms and replacing them with one, so... not cheap or easy to fix, really. |
Not a problem. My initial reading of Fortress of the Stone Giants (coming up next in my campaign) plus recommendations from my good friend Phil (ChattyDM) brought me over a while ago, but I was hesitant to contribute to the 3e adventures. (Heck, even just the bestiary of Stone Giants would have been enough.)
But the concept of this one was too good to pass up, and with it being 4e, I'm sufficiently excited.
Is there anything else I need to do to be able to get access to the discussions, or am I set?
And finally, yeah, deleting the cookie was the only way I got to post in the first place. I had to do it twice, for some reason. In any case, I just wanted to make sure that the problem was known. |

You'll get an invite/email with the details shortly. I'm a bit swamped, but will catch up tonight. _________________ Wolfgang Baur

Just a suggestion here (obviously I'm getting far ahead of myself) - but I was imagining what "Wrath" might look like artistically.
I kept coming back to the artist Tony DiTerlizzi. Mr. DiTerlizzi captures fey better than most I think, with his near caricature style, the exaggerated noses, pixie like faces, etc. Further, I kept imagining the pictures to look like old woodcuts, done entirely in sepia tone.
Wrath would look kind of like a twisted "Old Tyme" nursery book. Maybe only key elements would be given color, to make them stand out (like blood would be a stark red standing out against the sepia tone, gold could be given a glint that attracts the eye, etc.) in the images.
I of course have no idea what Mr. DiTerlizzi charges (I assume it's on the high end, given his popularity), or if such a thing is even feasible for this project. |

I worked with Tony during his TSR/Planescape days, and have kept in touch sporadically over the years. Right now, he's big into children's books and Hollywood has picked up his work (the Spiderwick film that opened recently).
I have commissioned him for small pieces in the past, but his price range is probably beyond Open Design's ability to pay. OTOH, if a lot of 4E fans sign up to support Wrath, nothing would make me happier than commissioning some art from TonyD. _________________ Wolfgang Baur

While we're on the subject of artists, I've recently become a huge fan of the semi-photorealistic style of Michael Kormarck, after seeing the 4th edition Gith art.
Art plays a huge role for me - I think it helps in immersing oneself in the story. They say roleplaying is all in your heard, but I believe that handouts of fantastic vistas or NPCs help a lot. |

Yay for pimpage. My money is in now too
Now to find cash to fund Zobeck too... I might have to join as a pdf buyer first and add money later to become a patron. |

There are a couple of (at least one?) artists out there who are similar in style... Possibly Doug Kovacs, or Anthony Francisco, Ben Eargle, Ginger Kubic, Michael Orwick, and Todd Morasch-- all did work for Bastion Press' Faeries book. I like a lot of what I see there.

Hi all, just a quick (first) post as I've recently jumped on board with this project
From previous posts I gather I should expect an email soon regarding access to discusssions on this or is it still early days yet?
Anyway looking forward to the ride. |

Yes, you should get an e-mail from Wolfgang within the next 48 hours, barring any emergency.

Sign up for the $30 Patron level for Wrath without taking my vote away from Zobeck?
I want to see 4E torn apart and reassembled by Wolfgang, but Zobeck has been the bastard stepchild of OD for to long! Long live Zobeck!!!!
Anyway, Wolfgang, How do I purchase my $30 Patron level to watch you tinker with Wrath without diluting my Zobeck "vote"? |

Glad to have you Kunger00!
I imagine in the unlikelihood that it's that close of a tie, Wolfgang can just remind himself that Wrath must win by +$30.00 over Zobeck in order to actually qualify for the win. |
