Brilliant news that Brian and Matt are interested! Sounds like we can get a 4e conversion off the ground - great stuff!
Cheers

Let me know if you want me to set up a 4E thread or folder or something. Not sure whether that's helpful or no. _________________ Wolfgang Baur

| I don't know how useful it will be until there is something set mechanically to rewrite. Unless people wanted to look at things created in previous products for Midgard 3.e/Pathfinder. |

Well, it's a campaign setting, so there's a relatively small amount of mechanics to begin with. However, there will be some things that would work as rituals or paragon paths, I suspect.
Let's discuss further when the first region is complete in rough draft form (March 14). _________________ Wolfgang Baur

I just signed up for basic patronage but only because it seems like 4e will get some loving since my players don't want to switch systems (I had to pull them kicking and screaming from 3.5 to 4e and they became more atached to 4e than they were to 3.5 )
Now what?

You should be set up soon by Wolfgang and be able to see two very busy forums called Crossroads and Regions of Midgard. There's quite a lot to catch up on....
And good to have another 4e fan aboard. Some of us are going to try and convert the rules elements of the project to 4e.
Cheers

I've been thinking about this - maybe we should start kicking around a few ideas on mechanics for 4e in a thread?
Are you OK if I start one off in the Crossroads folder?
Cheers

I think it's a fine idea, and I think Crossroads is the place for it! Put out the call! _________________ Wolfgang Baur

Greetings,
Just joined as a patron and am looking to get involved. I noticed though that it doesnt appear there has been any forum activity on this project since feb. Am I looking in the wrong place? |

Welcome aboard! This folder is the public one. The project discussion is VERY active, but also private.
You'll find the links to those private folders in your welcome email. _________________ Wolfgang Baur

Hi everyone,
I'm new here The reason for joining was that i wanted to know more about the Midgard CS.
Please talk to me about it! What makes it great? What's different? Where can i find sneak peaks that let me decide if it is for me (preview pdfs and the like)? etc etc .
Bring me up to speed on midgard, please
Thanks in advance.
P.S.: As a sidequestion - does OD also do other gamesystems beside PF and DnD 3.5 or 4 e? I know Midgard has an AGE appendix or something like that...but is it possible that you'll develop stuff for other open gamesystems in the future? For example FATE or the new Legend system (the old Runequest by Mongoose)? I'd totally like to see more campaign settings for those systems. |
