| in the ranger talents it says you can’t take an individual talent more than once but under the ranger feat it says “Instead of a talent, the ranger may choose a feat ” so can you take this feat more than once? |

Hi!
The Ranger talents are, in many ways, patterned after Rogue talents, so any rule that applies to Rogue talents should probably apply here as well.
Since it does say in both the Core Rules Rogue and in the Spell-less Ranger that you cannot take any one talent more than once, I would say that the Spell-less Ranger would only get to take a feat instead of a talent one time.
The Rogue talents section of the Core Rules could probably be a tad clearer on this though, so I would say if the relevant Rogue talent section should happen to be errata’d or otherwise officially clarified, I would apply that change or clarification to the Spell-less Ranger as well.
Having said all that ... I don't think it would be unbalancing for a GM to go ahead and allow the player of a Spell-less Ranger to take a feat from the Ranger list instead of a Ranger talent more than once.
Hope that helps! _________________ Marc Radle

| thank you for your reply. I also agree that the rouge feat could be clarified as well I've posted something on paizos forum so hopefully I get a good reply there as well. Our DM kind of agreed that it wasn't unbalancing to be able to take more than once either. |

Sounds good - I'll try to keep an eye out for your post and see what comes of it. Paizo is currently working on an on line FAQ, which looks to be live fairly soon - hopefully we will find clarification like this there.
If you are so inclined, let me know your experience with playing the Spell-less Ranger - I'm always interested to hear what others think. I'm actually playing one in our weekly Council of Thieves game - he just hit 7th level and I took Favored Enemy Critical as his new Ranger Talent (a very worthwhile talent by the way!) _________________ Marc Radle

Can anyone remind me where the original source for the spell-less ranger can be found? I seem to have lost track of it... |

Wolfgang should probably be the one to answer this, but my understanding is that the article is not open. _________________ Marc Radle
