You do know that if you signed up for Courts of the Shadow Fey, you could buy one from Wolfgang, right?

If not, well then... Wink

That's the patron's privilege-- you signed on to the project and didn't wait for it to go public. You were willing to invest to make it hit greenlight, there's no crime in a second copy. I do it myself. I have a soft and a hardcover of both editions; I use the softcover as a reading reference and the hardcover goes on my shelf. Smile

Good luck on S&B. I had to go to the mattresses to pick up my copy. Those things are an RPG unicorn. Smile

Wow! Where did you find a copy of #6, if you don't mind sharing the secret?

You make it sound like it was harder than the Hardcopy of Tales of Zobeck I stumbled over the other day..

Of course I wouldn't mind sharing.. as long as you can answer one;)

Noble Knight just added one to their inventory, if you add it too your want list their system sends you an update, all you have to do is be fast and be patient;) It wasn't cheap, I'll tell you that, $18, but it was the last issue I needed for the complete run so far and it was good to get it out of the way... one of the things I collect is rpg magazines/zines and have over 3500+ different issues..

Issue 6 seems to be the hardest to get, I remember you saying that you sold all the issues at gencon? or some such when I asked about it a while ago, did you have a smaller print run of them at all? it just seems like that issue doesn't come up for sale, but having said that not many issues come up for sale on the secondary market at all!.. most people buy em and keep em by the looks of it..

I suspect that it was a lot easier to get than a copy of #6 than of Steam & Brass.. which I also need to track down a copy in the long run as well.. you have to have goals;)

Thans for the help Wolf BTW!

Glad that Noble Knight came through for you!

The print run for #6 was actually moderately large (well, for the early issues), because we expected to sell a few hundred at GenCon and because we had some great articles in it.

As it turns out, we sold a ton at GenCon, and as far as I can tell, people have held onto them. Making them harder to find than most, I guess.

I'm interested in getting some of the earlier stuff I missed, too. Which ones could be feasibly purchased while I'm a patron?

I think you have to have been a patron of those particular projects, if they're projects that are not for sale to the general public any longer. I'm not positive, though. I know that a couple of them aren't available at all ('Steam and Brass' and 'Empire of Ghouls') due to the agreement that the patrons had, which stipulated that they could decide not to have it sold to the public, or something to that effect. I don't know if copies ever pop up on EBay or anywhere. Anyone feel free to correct me if I've got any of that all screwy, though.

Steam and Brass is unavailable to people outside the project by vote of the members of that project. Four folks chose to keep it exclusive and so it remains. Really, the salient world points of the adventure have been incorporated into the Zobeck Gazetteer so it's a moot issue, unless you really, really really want the adventure.

Castle Shadowcrag was available to patrons of Empire after it got an Ennie nod.

Empire of the Ghouls through Halls of the Mountain King were available to the patrons of projects that succeeded them-- Tales of Zobeck was made public when it won the Ennie, because that's what Wolfgang said he'd do if any project won after Shadowcrag was nominated. The Zobeck Gazetteer was always public, as are the Dwarves of the Ironcrags, the Iron Gazetteer and both editions of the Imperial Gazetteer. Again, the salient world-building points of Empire or Halls were rolled into their respective Gazetteers. Six Arabian Nights is probably the only one where some of the world building is locked away, but I'll bet a skosh of that comes out with Lost City. Blood of the Gorgon's worldbuilding also got rolled into the Zobeck Gazetteer

All Open Design projects after Halls have been available to the public after production-- Courts of the Shadow Fey, Red Eye of Azathoth, From Shore to Sea/Sunken Empires, Tales of the Old Margreve/Margreve Gazetteer, and the current trifecta of projects.

I think that about covers it... the only stuff that might otherwise be tough to hunt down would be prints of early articles from KQ, but those are out there in PDF, so that's less of an issue.
