I've just gotten word that I'm officially accepted as an Attending Professional at Dragon*Con this year. Us kobolds need to meet up and game!
I'll have copies of the Faith Hunter Rogue Mage game to sign and sell there, too! _________________ Christina Stiles

Well done Christina! Some day I'll have to use the excuse to see my US relatives and game Stateside. Any anecdotes from the Con just passed? _________________ einherjar/Oceanshieldwolf/Morgan Boehringer

Where do your relatives live in the States?
At Mysticon in Roanoke, VA, I had the pleasure of running one game of Rogue Mage. I didn't get any sign-ups for the 2nd game (but that was ok, because I got to hang out with several bestselling fiction authors because I had no game to run: Sherrilyn Kenyon, Faith Hunter, Kalayna Price, and Alethea Kontis). Poor me, huh?
Anyway, this group was a blast! They were the first not to save this small town from an impending Darkness that had overtaken them. They stuck to the specifics of their mission: to deliver supplies. And then they high-tailed it out of there, leaving the townsfolk met their demise after they succeeded in releasing a major Darkness. That's the first group to have done that since I've run this scenario at several cons. It was just hilarious.
I had a great time. I love running con games just to see how groups treat the same scenario differently. These guys will be credited in the book, as they just squeaked in for credit while we have the game's Player's Handbook in layout. _________________ Christina Stiles

I do too, although I find that as a GM you can kinda ensure a certain type of outcome based on the way you interpret the adventure and how you portray it to the players. But every once in awhile, you will find a group that completely goes off the rails, and you got some major improvising to do. |

YES!
Yes! Yes!
Happy-dance
YES YEs YeS Yes yES yEs yeS yes! (Typed with different capitalizations so you's know I was excited enough to actually TYPE them instead of just cut-n-paste!)
At last, someone from KQ/OD comes to D*C.
Don't worry, by the time September rolls around I will have contained my excitement - a little. |

Here is what I'm listed for at the con. I'll be hanging out some with Faith Hunter at her booth, if we have the Rogue Mage Player's Handbook at the con--we sent to the printer on August 1st. Monday of the con (Sept 3rd) is my birthday, btw! No, I'm not saying how old I'll be.
I don't have any official games on the schedule, but I'm looking into that. May do at least one.

Christina, it was great to meet you in person!
Had tremendous fun at the con, and I hope you did too!
Can you refresh my memory - what was that convention you mentioned that is coming up this November in Charlotte? |
