Thanks to Brette for getting me to go check out Noble Knight! I'd been meaning to look up an old short story I'd read in some D&D anthology that made a big impact on me when I was expecting to be underwhelmed (never a huge fan of short fantasy fiction for some reason), and now it'll be here soon. Turns out it was entitled 'Vision' by Roger E. Moore, and can be found in 'Realms of Infamy' (1994). Disturbing and well worth the read. Fantastic ending.
Thanks to Ben for the info on Steam and Ghouls, and potentially saving me some cash should either of those ever have popped up where I kept looking! |

I was a patron of Halls. Does this mean I could have had access to Empire?
I'll be ordering the projects that were made open. I don't have them all yet.

Empire of the Ghouls through Halls of the Mountain King were available to the patrons of projects that succeeded them-- Tales of Zobeck was made public when it won the Ennie, because that's what Wolfgang said he'd do if any project won after Shadowcrag was nominated. The Zobeck Gazetteer was always public, as are the Dwarves of the Ironcrags, the Iron Gazetteer and both editions of the Imperial Gazetteer. Again, the salient world-building points of Empire or Halls were rolled into their respective Gazetteers. Six Arabian Nights is probably the only one where some of the world building is locked away, but I'll bet a skosh of that comes out with Lost City. Blood of the Gorgon's worldbuilding also got rolled into the Zobeck Gazetteer

I think the only folks who had (have?) access to Empire are patrons of Six Arabian Nights.
As a patron of Halls, I believe you have access to Wrath of the River King. The project before Wrath was Tales of Zobeck and after Halls came what I like to call "the first trifecta" of Red Eye, Shore to Sea, and Courts-- and those are all public.
Honestly, if you can pick up Wrath, you should, if only to scoop up the Birch Queen's fair to mine for material. That's worth the price of admission right there, and there are a number of other flavor bits in Wrath that make it work regardless of edition. There's a little bit of a plot hole in the setup that's been discussed on these boards, but it's pretty managable. I wrote up a review of Wrath here.
(Side note? I believe it's still possible to get a copy of Halls for either edition by becoming a patron of Red Eye of Azathoth-- the Call of Cthulhu monograph that's still in playtesting and awaiting 1 or 2 portions over on the Livejournal boards.)

Also, I think a project sponsor perk ought to be access to purchase some of these past projects. |

Yes, as a patron of Halls you have the option to pick up Wrath. Send me or Shelly an email and we'll set it up. _________________ Wolfgang Baur
