Just wondering as it seems to have gone very quiet over on the Live Journal pages - where I can't in fact see any mention of the project.

What is going on with this project? is it nearly done? have I missed something or a vital update at some point? as a patron why don't I know the answers to these questions?

The last post was on May 24th:

http://open-design.livejournal.com/417645.html

with two adventure summaries. I know all the adventures have been selected, they're in the writers' hands and we've seen a few manuscripts and pregens-- in fact, we'd gotten one on May 10th.

Hit the linked tags at the bottom of the post, "Azathoth" is probably the best bet, I think there's another one if you're a senior patron. Then you'll see all of the posts with those tags. I show 10 between Mar 30 and the 24th of May.

-Ben.

Are there playtest drafts yet? I would love to run a few playtests. I do like the forums better than LJ. The view new posts button is my friend.

Things have gone quiet. We're in periscope down mode, while we knock out a few things. We have drafts for the first two adventures, turned in, pregens for 4 of the adventures, and summaries for 3 of the adventures.

Some unforeseen life circumstances have put the Wild West manuscript on hold for just a bit, though I know Ted is close to finishing that up. Spain is nearly done, except for the ending. (Expect a turnover soon)

As for Roanoke....well....I'm sorry to report that it appears our intended author for that piece has become "unavailable." (Though, please correct me if you're reading this and I'm wrong.)

So - yeah, looks like I'll be writing Roanoke. (I've started it....but I also just purchased my first house and am in the middle of hiring contractors for a remodel and closing escrow.)

Might as well do a formal post for the LJ boards......

Oh dear. Thanks for the update - there's no rush and I'm sure the finished product will be great!

Cheers

Hi,

I just signed on as a senior patron. I realize I'm a little late to the party, but wanted to do what was happening.

Well, there's still time to get in with playtesting and commenting, so dive in and make yourself heard!

Yes, we have the final manuscript from 3 of the 5 historical periods, and are just waiting on the last two. I'm tentatively hoping for an October or November release.

Hmmm, the last post was on Aug 13th and while I've been very busy with cross-country-moving and the like, I'm a bit shocked that nothing is going on there right now. Did I miss something? Oo

The editor now has 4 out of the 5 sections of the project, and the editorial turnover is expected in the next couple weeks.

I expect we'll ship the final to patrons by the end of December, and possibly sooner.
